Best Chinese. After searching Wokingham town centre for a restaurant 4 of us would agree on we decided on a drive out. We couldn't agree on a town centre place and heard about the chef Peking from a local who was passing.
I phoned the restaurant before driving and despite being very busy they managed to fit us in. I was sceptical but in arrival they were indeed packed to the rafters. Now that often means quality and service suffer. Not the case at chef Peking.
The staff were very friendly and helpful from the second we arrived. We were shown to our table promptly and service throughout was excellent. All staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our waiter recommended the amount of rice to have as he didn't want us to waste our money on rice we would leave.
The hot and sour soup, chicken and sweet corn soup and spring rolls were top quality. Our main meals of sweet and sour chicken and thai red duck curry were simply the best I have had since I was in China 7 years ago.
If you are in the area I would highly recommend a visit to chef Peking.

We've been eager to try this place out and we were lucky enough to get a last minute table. The other reviews are right, the food is absolutely delicious and the service was brilliant - staff are super kind, courteous and attentive, which was really great, we felt so well looked after!
I can highly recommend the banquet set menu - it was very generous with 4 courses, some delicious things I'd never tried before and large amounts of food, well worth it in my opinion.
Definitely coming back, really impressed and so pleased with this hidden gem.
