It's quite a good place to go if you want something to eat but also want it cheap, cosy and fast. It's a small but quite homely self-decorated place with homely atmosphere (I know I shouldn't use the same word twice in one sentence but there we go). It's a small business, the upside if which would be being flexible on requests compared to a big establishment (e.g. when we came in, they were accidentally out of bacon but very generously agreed to substitute the lack of it with extra sausages and fries, which left us full to the brim :)).
Oh and the cake slices + pots of tea are HUGE.
Stopped off here in the pouring down rain (Normal British Summer) for teas and cake for two people. Very cheap for a large teapot of tea and two generous sized slices of homemade cakes. Very attenrive service as well from staff Brad. Dogs also made welcome and catered for.
After a very wet walk around Weaver Park and the river we stopped for tea and cake at The Cosy Tea Shop. Dog friendly, nice welcome and cheerful welcome. It's part of a pub and they have made it really cosy and sweet.
