A Royal Experience, But Not Quite Fit for a Prince
Rating: 3.5/5
Last weekend, our family of four had the opportunity to dine at the Prince Harry Pub in Windsor. With its prime location right next to the majestic Windsor Castle, this pub certainly piqued our curiosity.
Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff were quick to seat us and take our orders, which is always a plus when dining out with a family. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the evening, ensuring our glasses were never empty.
As for the food, we opted for the burgers, fries, and slow-cooked lamb. While the presentation was visually appealing (see attached photos), the taste was nothing out of the ordinary. The burgers were decent, but we've had better elsewhere. The slow-cooked lamb was tender but could have used more seasoning to make it truly memorable.
One downside of the pub was the higher than average pricing. We understand that the premium location near Windsor Castle likely plays a role, but it would have been nice to see that extra cost reflected in the quality of the food.
In conclusion, the Prince Harry Pub offers a lovely atmosphere and friendly service, but the food could use some improvement to match the royal surroundings. The next time we visit Windsor, we will likely explore other dining options to find a more satisfying culinary experience.
Nice place, we went there around 4pm when I felt peckish and the service was quick and the soup was excellent. The walls adorn several photos of Prince Harry through his life, and as you enter there's a massive picture of Harry & Meghan.
Super tasty food at a fair price. Fish and chips are particularly recommended!
