OK. So today I'm doing something I wasn't expecting to be doing. Yesterday evening, in a torrid plight of indecision, I decided to call out (reach out, really, looking forwards) for a Big Mac having decided firmly never to have another because of a beef I have with no sauce on the top of the patties so it's too dry and not oozing with Big Mac sauce. Well, I also threw in a box of McNuggs and a Big Tasty for reasons of making the Big Mac more comfy in its environment in the hopes it might slither about in the cardboard carton like the 1980s.
The outcome: the Big Mac was actually drier than an arid Arizona desert and I'm personally convinced the McNuggs were made out of plants or some other peculiar ingredient. But one works with what one' s got. Now, to the surprise.
Some hours later I decided to get my chops around the Big Tasty (I have actually had one before) and what an eyebrow-raising, eye-opening, eyeball-rolling moment it was. Despite the disadvantage of having cooled, it was a tasty bolt of lightening in the wee hours to wake the very sleeping dead; it was Big and it was Tasty, loaded - nay, stashed to the gills - with sauce and tomatoes, onions, lettuce to appease the most ravenous of dieting tortoises and a complementary patty doing its job.
Several bites and a few hours later, in daylight almost, more bites and it was still going, now back in its brown paper bag with a hearty send off.
The moral of the story? If you're one of those people that think: " oh! burger, two bites and it's gone, I'm going to have to rally with a couple of fish filets and an entry level chicken and mayo paper wrapped back-up ", well think no more.
It's hands up to this Mac House with an extra thumb on both hands. Truly a bone-shaking moment.
NB. I inadvertently ordered extra lettuce and Big Tasty sauce so that may have been the key to it all. Plus, do not try fries the next day.
Sitting outside with a dog, the staff came out and asked if they could get the dog some water, while the one staff member was getting the water, another asked the same. So pleased that they took the time to look after everyone, including the dog.
Can't fault the food or service. Good quality and quick service.
