Popped in for the first time mid week despite visiting many pubs in the area over past 12 months we hadn't given this venue a thought. What a mistake, this traditional pub is a hidden gem situated just off the main Worcester to Bromyard road it's well worth a visit. We were provided with a warm welcome by the owner Richard who spent time talking to us which in itself is a rarity these days. The pub itself is as welcoming as the owner with a roaring open log fire and a fine array of local ales and ciders. We decided to eat and the extensive menu left us wanting more than one choice however we played it steady on our first visit and selected ham eggs and chips twice which was both delicious and filling all topped off with excellent service. The place soon filled up as the night went on and we spoke with the mandatory "local" sat at the corner of the bar who was able to provide us with information about the location far better than any Trip advisor post could. Will we return? Of course we will we need to try everything on that menu.

Lovely country pub. Friendly gaffer and staff - including a really top chef - a cracking pint of Worthingtons bitter and lovely beer-garden, all set in beautiful countryside. Doesn't get better than this anywhere.

Friendly bar and waiting staff. A proper country pub with a great atmosphere and cosy feel, not to mention the beautiful, high quality food. The chef even came out to ask if we were enjoying our meals, which we felt was a lovely touch. Will definitely be returning. I think we've found our new favourite local pub
