Didn't stay in a room, but stopped off for lunch by chance really!
Ordered food, decided to sit outside as it was fairly nice... even though it rained, umbrella was up, didn't get wet!
Food, seemed like proper home cooked chips in my opinion, served with salad with balsamic vinegar dressing and proper cooked chicken. Additional sauces like tomato ketchup etc were available. What's not like?
The view, from where we sat, added bonus- part of the Peak District ...that's what you go to the peak district for!
This pub on this road has to be the one to stop off at , great outdoor seating for walkers, bikers, or just passing by in the great weather. Inside has plenty of space. Food what can I say, came with in a reasonable time. Best of all it tasted and looked great . I'll definitely going back.
Staff was polite and the place was clean 👌
Dropped in as we were passing 6 adults and 2 kids with 1 small dog.. First time we've been and I popped in first to see if we could be accommodated with some food. Firstly I would like to say the chef greeted us in with very friendly open arms and found us the perfect spot to all sit together. The menu choice was perfect for all of us and the steak I had was cooked to perfection medium rare, the peppercorn sauce was amongst the best we ever tasted! Very good friendly service all round from start to finish. My only wish is that we lived closer to enjoy more of this great food.
Thanked the chef afterwards for doing a great job... brilliant, well done guys!
