Just stayed here for the weekend I loved it, cozy clean room, staff very welcoming, fab freshly cooked breakfast provided, fab choices for your evening meal. I loved my stay & would highly recommend. I travelled alone, so it was extra nice to see such friendly people. It's in a beautiful location, with stunning views.

If you are visiting Skye a wee dram at The Stein is a must , they have a vast collection of whiskey 🥃, the food is great , a lovely cosy atmosphere and conversation with Donald behind the bar is fascinating if you want to know anything about anything Donald is your man . If you can catch the sunset they are amazing , nothing better than sitting outside with a pint watching the beautiful colours as the sun goes down

Ate at the Inn 2 nights in a row. First night we had mussels, langos. It was delicious though a bit of work 😋. Second night we had venison stew and fish&chips. Honestly everything is delicious, cannot go wrong. Making reservations online is very easy. Highly recommend

Went there for a birthday lunch. Had an amazing seafood feast. Local lobsters and crabs which had been caught 20 minutes before reaching our plates. Couldn't get any fresher. Owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us.

It's a pub. We received excellent pub service! We arrived early in the afternoon when the bartender was running the whole show. So we had to wait a few minutes. But it was all good, and loved being in a historic pub. Quirky art on the wall if you're into that.

Lovely place, a real gem of a pub. Location is amazing facing out onto a beautiful bay. Only popped in for an ale which was average at best, Had a look at the menu which was pricey but the other reviews speak very highly of the food there. Guy at the bar wasn't rude but just gave the bare minimum of a response. You would't describe him as friendly. Waitress there was happy and bubbly. Great location though.

The location is fabulous but I do feel it is overpriced £54.00 for 2 portions of fish and chips including paying for the privilege of getting food served to table. Read a few reviews about an angry bar man but honestly we found him funny and very accommodating. Remember bar work is stressful maybe the servers could help him a bit by cleaning a few glasses!! Visited pub 3 times on my stay on Skye and did enjoy it. Recommend the Skye Gold Ale..

The food was excellent, and the staff was very welcoming. The service could be even better if they came more often to the tables to ask for a drink refill of to distribute water pitchers (Both things that we often missed when we were there).

Ate at restaurant. Fish was incredible. The best crab and monkfish we've ever eaten. Expensive but perfectly cooked, very fresh and portions were substantial! Relaxed atmosphere. Children's menu v good.

Cozy little place in Stein with a fantastic view of the Loch. On a good summer day, you can also enjoy the outdoors and view the sunset while sipping your pint of beer. Lovely staff and food was good too. The portion size is big enough to feed Nessie! They also have good vegetarian and vegan options.

The Stein Inn was our favorite restaurant we have visited in our two weeks in the UK. Food - Was absolutely amazing; goat cheese bonbon was packed with flavor, the venison stew was so tender and mouthwatering, Langustines fresh and juicy with a lovely herby sauce, sticky toffee pudding was to die for (absolutely melt in your mouth) Service - Our waiter was very friendly and made us great recommendations. Atmosphere - A quiet relaxing place for dinner, with the sound of forks on plates being the loudest sound in the restaurant, lit mostly with warm/candle light it gives a lovely setting. My biggest complaint about Stein is the fact that we didn't find it sooner so we could eat there another night! Give this great Inn/Pub/Restaurant a try, you won't be disappointed.

Great food. Place has a lot of character and you can feel it's been around a while (in a positive way). Also right by the waters edge and the fish is fresh from the boat. Make sure to have a reservation though!

Awesome location and the food is excellent. The staff was a little abrupt and standoff-ish. The rooms were fine for a 250 year old building. Overall, we had a good experience.

Booked an evening meal here and as we were in the area, popped in for lunch earlier in the day. Upon chatting to the Batman, discovered that they had run out of langoustines, and only had one lobster left. I asked if it would be possible to reserve it, as I had really been looking forward to a lobster dinner, and was surprised when he said ok. When we arrived for our evening meal, we were shown through to lovely window seats in the further room (which was so much nicer than the rather dated pine panelled bar) and we found the service to be excellent, as was the food. My husband had an enormous fish and chips, the batter was crisp and delicious, and the fish soft and succulent. My lobster had been prepared in a manner I wasn't used to, but again, was soft and delicious. I really couldn't fault it. I note other customers criticized the way that both vat and service can make the menu prices seem to increase, and agree that it would be better to make this clear in the menu, but didn't object to paying either. You did yourself down though, we would have left morethat if it had been left to us!

Wonderful night spent in the oldest inn on Skye. Fabulous meal, sensitively prepared with fresh local ingredients. The best whitebait I've had for a long time.
