Today we joined the community centre team for an incredibly enjoyable Halloween cookie making class with my 2 children (4 and 8). The whole morning was run so wonderfully, the kids loved every second from rolling their dough to decorating their individual boxes to take them home in - and us mums loved the ease and great service! My children have dietary considerations too and these were all taken care off - as well as the team making sure there were vegan sausage rolls freshly baked for us too! Honestly love the community feel from them and can’t wait for the rest of the classes this half term week! Thank you again for a great morning!
This is a fabulous facility for the local community with a cafe (we have not tried), a book exchange with sofa, and various rooms or courts. It was easy to book a slot and equipment.
The disabled access is really good. There are electronic buttons on the disabled toilets which is really good not needing to open a heavy door. There is also a shower and seat in the disabled toilets.
Unfortunately on my visit there was no soap at the sink and the red emergency cords were tied up. My own error, due to fatigue, I didn't tell the staff. I regret not having the processing and confidence at the time to approach a staff member as it is really important, after cleaning, to let the red cords back down to the floor and not to keep them tied up.
The facility on the whole was impressive and I would highly recommend it for adults and families. I'd like to go again.
We booked a court for our 6 yr old grandson who is in a wheelchair and has recently discovered his talent for badminton! Such a lovely place to come, and the lady on reception was very helpful and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.
