Maya's Indian Brasserie

Really had a great evening here, the food was excellent. Initially I wasn't sure, especially when all the tables for two were in the worst places in the room to sit (why do restaurants always do that?) anyway they were very accommodating when we asked to move to a better table, which was one of the tables for four. The service was really friendly, and as I said the food excellent. One thing that concerned us was that the menu was very short of Veggie options, but they explained that almost any dish could be cooked for vegetarians. We were a bit sceptical but needn't have been, since my Wife (the Veggie) said it was the best Indian meals she'd ever had. I also had a really tasty dish, I like hot food but it was hot with flavour, not just firey heat. I especially liked it when one of the waiters, didn't just ask about how we enjoyed the meal, but discussed how it was cooked and how they have difficulty getting consistency with the variation of the ingredients, in particular with variations on the Scotch Bonnet chili they use. Anyway, an excellent restaurant with fabulous food.

Quickly becoming one of the best Indian restaurants in a town very fortunate to have plenty of them. Having eaten here several times I'm unable to criticise anything the staff are attentive the drinks are fairly priced and the food as I mentioned is rapidly becoming a massive talking point. Somewhere I recommend a lot.

I've been eating at this new business for about 6 months now and have not been disappointed.The food and friendly staff have made this Indian restaurant second to none!! The food is amazing and so tasty. I work away a lot and I can quite honestly say I've eaten the breath and depth of the country with Indian food and even so can quite honestly say that this is up there with the best ! I look forward to eating from here every time I'm home; never been disappointed. What ever I order even if not on the menu it is not a problem; and so well favoured and to add to this they recognise my orders even to point of writing my name on my dishes.I can quite honestly say this is up there with some the best service and food I've had in the country from a great curry lover :) . Long may they keep it up .
