Considering it as opening night with all the challenges that brings, the whole team did an outstanding job.
The pub was bright, welcoming and well furnished modern in a traditional setting.
Luther was very welcoming and worked very hard to overcome the numerous teething issues that presented themselves, a load of garlic mussels spilled over the floor, a wobbly table, and an incredibly new but lovely and willing team of waitresses who were outstanding in a very busy and challenging first night.
The menu is interesting and varied and very good value, a minor criticism was that my starter was a smaller portion of black pudding than the one delivered to the next table.
My wife started with salt cod which was a very generous dish.
Plenty of vegetarian options which my wife selected a rogan josh from and I had a shawarma lamb dish as a main which were excellent.
The wine selection is first class my wife had a Marlborough Savignon blanc, and I had a Morrissey blonde ale which I enjoyed.
No room for a dessert but we will definitely be back.
Total bill was just £47
A great first experience thank you
Just had sunday roast beef with my family, Didn't have to wait long, had great friendly service and we all enjoyed our meal, will definently be coming again.
Really lovely meal and great service. Hubby and I enjoyed our mussels, crayfish/prawn starter, followed by pork medallions and steak pie.
