This location (previously Blues Smokehouse) hadn’t ever seemed particularly busy on weeknights so I was a bit apprehensive to try it, but the opportunity came up so I thought I’d give it a go.
I wasn’t disappointed - the burger I had (the default Palm burger with added brisket) was absolutely delicious and cooked to a pink medium rare perfection. The Bun was a non-brioche soft roll that had a bit of a leathery feel to it, but went very well nonetheless. My friend who dined with me had the chicken fajitas which arrived sizzling but perhaps covered in a little too much sauce.
We also shared some Mac and Cheese balls. Very nice and crisp with the only downside being that the serving is for an odd amount. No-one likes to share the last Mac and Cheese ball!
We didn’t have dessert, not only because I was full, but because the only non-chocolate dessert was ice cream, which is a bit boring.
Service was great, very consistent and our food was served quite quickly.
The decor of the place is very light wood with quite low ambient lighting. A few booths available for those who prefer a bit of privacy, and a swinging chair for those who... prefer to gently rock while they’re eating, I guess?
I hope this place survives a decent time; I’m looking forward to going back!
Visiting family in Twickenham, we walked past the Palm Grill and checked the menu. Menu had lots of choice and very reasonably priced. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Service was quick and food amazing.
Very child friendly restaurant.
Unfortunately we are only visiting Twickenham or we would definitely be regular diners.
Nice and cosy decor, great food and even better cocktails for reasonable prices. Great place to get some food or drinks with friends on Friday.
