We had a few meals here over our 4 day weekend break. The innitial welcome, the quality of the food and the service have all massively improved. There is a sign outside that mentioned a pie and a pint for £15 on one of the nights - this is great value as its not just a pie you'll get but a full and lovely meal.
Fantastic food and welcoming staff. We came as a group of 9. Came to visit from Cambridge and will definitely visit here if we do come back up these ways. Beer battered Cod and chips and a brownie for dessert. I've had A LOT of brownies in my life and this was the best I've ever tasted. Could not fault the place. The scenery outside is amazing too, well worth the visit if you're in the area.
Great place for a drink or a meal. It's a very unpretentious place but has great food, good choice if drinks, fantastic views and a large free car park. No kids play area though, but they did had a children's menu!?. Also, the wine choices are somewhat lacking.
