I dined at The Crescent for dinner and enjoyed their new autumn menu, from start to finish the whole meal felt like you were being taken on a deliciously delightful journey through the best of the autumn season. The Tandoori Spiced Scallops, the handmade focaccia with whipped butter, and the pan roasted Guinea Fowl were my personal highlights. The Guinea Fowl dish is the best meat dish I’ve ever eaten: the plating, the explosion of flavours and the care put in with each and every element was perfection. Highly recommend a visit, our server Hamesh was wonderful, he made us feel so well looked after, as if we were the only ones in the restaurant.
Went for Sunday lunch, which is a set menu affair. Quite a limited choice - only 3 or 4 options for starters and mains, but what came out was excellent, and at £19.95 for two courses, good value for money. Service was a little slow, but that may have been compounded by the family table of about 20 behind us. Staff were very pleasant, although our waitress didn't seem too familiar with either the menu or the wine list. From considerable experience, we know this is quite often an issue with training. All in all, a pleasant experience, and we will certainly return at some point, now that we know what to expect.
What an incredible place to spend an afternoon and evening. Aside from the most perfect views, the food and drink was well priced and the staff very attentive. I WILL be coming back here!
