Had lunch here yesterday. Excellent service and absolutely lovely food. Well worth a visit.

Great bar was in it few times,,, lived in Todmorden few years ago wish i was still there but back in northern Ireland now,,,, great bar and always gets the crowd
Stopped here for lunch and had a lovely meal, friendly staff and great atmosphere, lovely open fire and dining area. The pea and ham soup is great and the carrot cake!
Stayed at the polished knob again at weekend...we treated some friends this time and they loved it! great atmosphere...lovely rooms...excellent breakfast and chilli...Chris as always so friendly and funny!

Quirky pub. Central location near the railway station. Cash only. Fortunately cash machines across the road. Live music. Good selection of alcoholic beverages. Also has rooms above the pub if you want to stop over £60 per night

Stopped at the polished knob for a couple of days and was well looked after. We arrived on a Monday afternoon and was welcomed by a rock band that was playing until 5.30.There is live music every Monday afternoon. . The pub itself resembles a Hard Rock cafe with musical instruments hanging from every wall. The coloured seating looked fab just like an American diner,very impressive. The stage itself dominates the pub and is well used throughout the weekend. My bed room was at the front of the building and was very comfortable with a new wet room cum ensuite but I must admit I do prefer a good old fashion shower. Once the room is wet it's wet and the shower was a bit hit and miss. Had a great night sleep UNTIL about 5 when I think the whole town drove passed my room, very noisey road plus every Wednesday the local market sets up. Its all great to watch from your bedroom window. The staff and punters are all very friendly and welcoming and it's a great experience but nxt time I'll have a room at the rear of the hotel.

This is a pub doing everything it can to be noticed. From the name to the condom like logo on the door to the hugely overstyled interior.
It does look like it should be in Benidorm not Tod. But in its own weird way all this does make for a pleasant place. There's a few tables outside if you don't appreciate the interior.
There's a fair old selection of beers so you'll probably find something you'll like there and the prices are pretty muchly the same as other pubs. Staff aren't over friendly with strangers but you get fast efficient service.
Word of warning, cash only, there's a sign by the door, (plenty people miss it!). But there's cash machines just over the road.
