A great village pub with great food and an amazing range of beers, and also gins and spirits.Best kept Tetley's for miles around and Great Fish and Chips,Steaks and a very good range of specialswich they change quite often, the pub has outside seating and also a good size beer garden with the old blacksmiths shop adjoining it which can can be hired for a private function,we had our granddaughters christening here and it was great as we could have bouncy castles in the beer garden and use the old blacksmiths shop as well which i think can hold around 80 if we had needed it to just use without the beer garden.
Great affordable drinks and really tasty food!
We arrived at six pm on Sunday to discover they were still serving Sunday lunch and thankfully could fit us in. I had Sunday lunch and my husband had pie and chips. The Sunday lunch came with a selection of vegetables which I shared with my husband. The food was plentiful, piping hot, very tasty and good value. We were too full to have a dessert. The pub was quite busy with a warm friendly atmosphere and is frequented by the locals. The lady behind the bar was most helpful and the pub is dog friendly. We have booked to go for Sunday lunch again with friends.
