Camping with Style (Shell Robshaw-Bryan)

The room we had was small, but perfectly formed. Super comfortable and really lovely aesthetically. Importantly, when we stayed, we didn't have any issue with noise from the pub below or the road.
There was good parking behind the pub and service was relaxed and friendly.
We had an evening meal and have knocked off one star based on this. Our starter was lovely, full of flavour, but both of our main courses were OK, but not good or great. We had a G&T which was also good, but I then went on to have a glass of white wine, which wasn't very nice, so I only had a couple of sips.
The ambience of the pub is lovely, especially with the fires on and it was a really lovely choice as a stopover point on our way up to the Hebrides.
Breakfast the next morning was really good, no complaints there at all and it truly set us up for the day of travel ahead.
We'd definitely stay there again.
Perfect mid journey break. We were moving from the southwest to Glasgow and this was a good stopping place, and it was perfect.
It's a 300 year old inn which has been really well updated, it's cosy, quaint but with the mod cons you'd expect in a much pricier place.
We rang ahead to say we'd be arriving later than we'd hoped, and Helen called us back before closing the kitchen to see if we wanted anything made up, and that level of care and consideration was there across everything.
Breakfast was really well done with lots of options, we couldn't have been happier, many thanks.
Absolutely lovely Sunday roast. Service was perfect and very reasonably priced. Nice relaxed and old school atmosphere. Loved it!
