I'm not a fan of Wetherspoons, largely because the owner of the chain is vile. Generally, I try to avoid visiting any of them.
However, I recognise that aside from the politics of the owner, they are well run, clean and sell drinks and food at good prices.
(I was invited for a 'retirement do' and my respect for the retiree had to override any personal prejudices.)
I don’t like all Wetherspoons but I do like this one. The food has always been great and like all Wetherspoons, it’s great value for money when you get the meal and drink offer. For children they provide colouring except the colouring and crayons aren’t next to each other. I get the crayons at the front of the restaurant and the colouring sheets near the back of the restaurant. Last time we went they only had yellow crayons to draw with.
Great service, lovely place to eat, great food and friendly staff. The only down side of the pub is the prices are different on the app to the disposable menu 😒.
Other than that great family pub, great place to eat and the outdoor area is nice and clean.
