In all our years of living in Taunton, somehow the hubby and I have never visited this pub - today, on a whim of wanting a drive out of town and to visit somewhere different, that changed. Let me tell you, we are 100% glad it did!
On entering we found a beautiful rustic interior with an extremely cosy and relaxed atmosphere - best, there were comfortable sofas by the fire and a very warm welcome from the landlords. Lovely pints at a decent price and the home-made pork stratchings are sublime!
Apparently this amazing pub has featured on Channel 4's B&B reality show,
'Four in a Bed' - it's not something we've ever watched before, but I will definitely be keeping my eye out for a repeat of this particular episode in the future.
By the time we'd finished our drinks, we had already booked ourselves in for a birthday meal for myself in April (the menu looks divine!) and, as far as we are concerned, April can't come soon enough...hopefully we will have warmer weather by then so we can sit outside and take full advantage of the amazing views of the hills to be had....a panoramic camera is a must!

Not the first we have eaten here, the food is great although on the downside on this occasion they had run out of some of the dishes on their menu and it was only 7 o’clock, however as I said the food is great the service is prompt would highly recommend having an evening out here
We stayed over night and had a meal with drinks the evening we got there. Great place, very accommodating and excellent service too. The evening meal was perfectly cooked, and they were able to let us have our dog with us at all times. If you find yourself close to West Hatch, you must stay there. You won't be disappointed!
