Went for an afternoon tea at 2010 Brasserie at Peckforton Castle, which my wife had bought me for our anniversary present.
Wonderful location. The Brasserie is just past reception on the left.
Warm welcome from the staff at reception, who helpfully directed us to the Brasserie, and equally wonderful and friendly welcome from the Brasserie staff.
Having first checked if we had any dietary requirements, we were then offered tea or coffee while the food was prepared.
We each had five finger sandwiches (cheese & pickle, ham & mustard, egg mayonnaise, cucumber & mint and smoked salmon & cream cheese).
We then tackled our scones, which were freshly baked and still slightly warm from the oven. They were light and delicious, with tasty jam and clotted cream.
To finish, we had coffee with our delicious pastries - a mini lemon cake, a mini lemon meringue pie and a chocolate mousse choux pastry.
Wonderful place, great service. Hope to return soon.
