A real village local. Good choice of real ale. Superb food. Always a warm welcome from the staff. Just what a country pub should be.

During our short visit to Norfolk we'd been trying to find somewhere 'special' for dinner. We were not disappointed. The pub itself is delightful with a beautiful restaurant at the back. The young man behind the bar was extremely welcoming. We found out later that the owners were his grandparents. We ordered whitebait and stilton pate for starters, both of us following with brisket of beef. Be warned! The portions are huge! Everything was presented beautifully and was equally delicious. The chef even comes out to check if you're enjoying your meal - very rare these days. We finished with a dessert to share as we couldn't manage one each. Again, it was perfection. The lady who served us was also very pleasant and professional. We assume they may have been the owners. It was a fab occasion and so nice to see food and service 'being done right!'. In the trying times ahead, we wish them every success, as we will definitely return if we visit Norfolk again. Superb! βΊοΈβΊοΈ
