Visited today for an afternoon tea with a friend, both of us local. The cafe was quiet which was good as there was only one member of staff on duty when we arrived as her colleague was on a break. Nonetheless, our order was taken quickly and brought to us promptly. We had a voucher for an afternoon tea and the paper voucher was accepted without any issues. I would suggest that it would be good if the question regarding any dietary intolerances was asked at the point of ordering, although of course if we had had any, it is also our responsibility to tell the staff. The afternoon tea was served quickly, however, no explanation was provided as to what the sandwiches contained or what the cakes were. The sandwiches were all freshly made and delicious - our highlight. The scones were large, fresh and still warm. Very nice. Several jams/marmalades and cream were provided as were bottomless hot drinks. The three different cakes were sweet and light and we took most of these home being too full to finish them. The staff member happily provided us with a box to do so. Overall, I would recommend afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie in Sutton if you want a low key, great value experience. Don't forget to tip if you think the service deserves it :)
It was a lovely afternoon spent here with my wife and children on Mothers Day. No booking was required and staff were very happy to take our voucher for afternoon tea. The food was great, and the service was excellent. They even provided the children with free "hot chocolate" which was served just right for them to drink. Impressive!
Had a delicious afternoon tea. Because it was Saturday lunchtime it was slightly slow to get our order, but the service was very friendly and helpful, and the food yummy.
