Dropped in for dinner with a colleague. We wanted some spicy food and the waiter was kind enough to take that into consideration. We ordered the Prawn Pakora, the aloo on Puri, peshawari naan, chappatthi, channa paneer, and mushroom and capsicum. The Aloo on Puri was excellent with the seasoning just right and the portion just ample for a starter. One thing to be said is that the side dish portions are rather small, and we need to take into consideration when ordering. The service was good. The interior is pretty old, but, they seem to balance it off by being very courteous.
Delicious indian food, no frills. I am a regular customer at Sarada and felt that since I have been so for many years now that I owe it a review. It's strength is mouth-wateringly- great tasting authentic indian food at extremely reasonable prices. The standard is consistently excellent as is the service. The place itself could do with modernising and has stayed more or less the same since I first came here, this said the important parts, the food and service are so good they more than make up for a bit of outdated decor. I commend this place for it's delicious vegetarian options, the ease with which dishes can be created especially for the customer and more specifically THE most tasty bombay aloo I have ever come across.
I look forward to my next visit!
I've been coming here for years and the food is always excellent and great value. It's almost impossible to spend more than £15 a head, no matter how hard I try! Sarada is authentic, somewhat dated and not a swanky, high style restaurant - but it would lose all of it's charm were it to be so. If you like great food in comfortable, homely surroundings then Sarada is better than any other place that I know of nearby.
