A lovely spot with a winning view of the Thames (if you’re brave enough to sit outside in the chilly winter months) with a homey ambience.
The food was really delicious, good traditional pub meals that are hearty and flavoursome - we all enjoyed every bite! I had the beer battered fish and chips and even though I had to scrap off the batter because of my wheat intolerance, the meal was top notch, tender fish and crispy chips all with deliciously smooth mushy peas to top it off. I’d definitely recommended this dish.
The waiter was great too, quick and friendly, adding to the experience when he joked along with us.
The pub was however very pricey, especially for us South Africans!!! We were a bit blown away when the bill arrived, but put it down to a great experience! Not sure I’ll be able to come back in a hurry, but really worth it if you have some extra cash lying around!
A hidden gem, just off the Sunbury gardens, the best time to visit is on a hot sunny day. Remember to book at busier times. Love to eat and watch the boats sail by
Lovely pub, outdoor area is really nice to sit out on a sunny day and having the river there also!
Food was really nice, no complaints, only thing that was a shame the sandwiches are not served over the weekend but apart from that, food was lovely and would eat there again
