Nice cafe in a nice courtyard with interesting shops. Good choice of drinks, sandwiches etc, cakes. Two small gripes, first when you add soup to a sandwich (£2.45 for a rather small bowl on top of £6.95 for the sandwich) they take away the crisps, which isn't how it's described on the menu so that seems rather mean. When you're paying £9.40 for a sandwich and a cup of soup, a handful of crisps won't break the bank. Second, the acoustics of the place make it extremely loud when it's even a third full of people talking. It needs some soft furnishings, thick curtains etc to make the noise levels more bearable. However the sandwiches and soup were nice, the coffee was nice, the millionaire shortbread was nice. Because of the proximity to the NT house, parking is likely to be difficult to find at busy times.
Lovely little cafe in a quaint environment. Good coffee, only complaint would be that it took about 10 minutes to get me my cappuccino, which seems a bit of a long time to me!
Lovely little cafe! Catered for Gluten Free and Vegan, where the kitchen staff even came out to double check with us about allergens. Lunch was lovely! Lots of choice for sandwich and panini fillings. Would be absolutely perfect if they did some wedges/chips/sweet potato fries/hash browns with the lunch or as a side in case you’re feeling a bit hungrier!
Great place for cafe stops for cyclists too, with all cyclists getting 10% off!
