Went last night after a weekend in Stratford. Couldn’t get in on the Friday night as we hadn’t booked so booked for the Saturday night instead. We then made the mistake of going to Cafe Rouge as a substitute. I 110% would never go back to Cafe Rouge and 110% go back to Bistro Pierre. Cafe Rouge was average, the service was standard and the bill was £80. Bistro Pierre was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff and the food, wow. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 large glasses of wine and 2 pints=£66. A complete bargain, especially when compared to the other supposed French cuisine in the town centre. Free bread and butter to start off with along with a free jug of water and the portions of food were huge. We wish we hadn’t eaten the bread as we struggled to finish our mains off. If anything they’re missing a trick by the bread as without it we may have been able to have a desert too lol. The place was packed out yet we were in and out in an hour and a half. The French chap on shift was great, it was someone’s birthday and he started off with a very loud “Happy Birthday” which many joined in with singing followed by most of the restaurant clapping. Lovely atmosphere and fair play. If you luxery dining for minimal money then this is the place. I can see why this place is so highly rated. Booking is a must. We will be coming back to Stratford and this will be where we have our meal out without a doubt. 10/10.
Love it here and have eaten here every time we visit Stratford. Fabulous food, lovely friendly and helpful staff. And the two course pre theatre menu is excellent value for money. Can highly recommend.
My boyfriend and I visited this evening for the first time, while here on holiday.
The staff were polite and attentive.
The atmosphere was pure tranquility.
The presentation was beautiful.
The food was absolutely amazing (one million thanks - Irish saying!) to the talented chef.
I highly recommend this beautiful, stunning French restaurant :)
