Had gorgeous gluten-free meal here today. Partner enjoyed his gluten free burger as much as his usual ‘normal’ one!! I had the traditional ‘Parmo’ - tasty! Whilst we were there we overheard the owners helping out someone with a bag full of groceries, not only good food but good people. Shame we don’t live around here. Fully recommend. Also have a huge selection of secondhand books. 😊

Fantastic little place with a big heart! I'm not a regular visitor to Stockton, but make a point of going to The Labyrinth when I'm there. The syaff are really friendly, the food is lovely and appeals to all tastes in my family, very reasonably priced and I always find an interesting book. Keep up the good work!

Back in my home from home.... When I work away, supposedly in a 4*hotel my food choices are so limited and when I ask for gluten free in some places I'm made to feel like a freak. Not here, here I can bring my meat loving eat anything husband, my dairy and lactose free daughter, and my gluten free self and we can all have anything on the menu.....the bit my daughter likes is that saying 'can I get non-dairy milk' is met with 'of course, do you prefer hemp, lactose free.....' (I can't actually list all the options!); Rather than a funny look or an eye roll. The people coming in for food bank are met with respect and treated with compassion; and finally as a family with a few diagnosed disabilities we are welcomed and never judged, indeed this is one of the few places one of my family feels comfortable visiting alone. Finally, dogs are excellent judges of character and the cafe is currently full of beautiful humans and guess what....the dogs are fast asleep!

Having read the previous reviews, I would like to express my opinion, as a disabled person who uses a powered wheelchair and walking frame, i find it upsetting that people have stated that is not disabled friendly and isn't accessible. I visit the cafe everyday and I have to say that the cafe is accessible for disabled people in terms of access onto the building and also from a special dietary requirement. All aspects are deal with compassion by all the staff, and they always go that extra mile for myself and many many disabled people that frequent the cafe on a daily basis, whether you have a physical, learning and or invisible disability. In terms of accessibility people can go to the main door and will be assisted into the cafe, if they are able to enlighten the step access, if this is too difficult then the staff will take you to the level access around the side of the building, where both doors will be opened into the lobby and then the doors into the cafe will be open for your use. Once inside the cafe space will be made by the staff at all times so that you can move around and access the tables, all the staff are attentive to your needs and they will serve you personally with you drinks and your meal and make sure you are comfortable at all times. As a disabled person I can honestly say that I not only find the cafe one of the best places for a meal, it is my safe haven where I don't feel my physical condition and I can relax with friends and or make friends with other people visiting at the time. If you are having a bad day come along and spend time here and believe me you won't want to leave. The fact that I visit every day tells you that it is the place to be. Come and try for yourself and join an all inclusive community

My family love coming here my son's autistic and really relaxes when he goes there. The animals make him feel at ease and he loves the shear quirkiness of the place. Owners are warm and friendly, having a clear understanding of autism.

Absolutely lovely place. Food is 😋 delicious and staff are friendly. Given the expense of food anywhere else that caters for intollerances ect im surprised at how reasonable the prices are. The community work they are involved with is great, together with the food bank, the food hygiene rating AND the awards so rightfully given i enjoy visiting when i can.

I am vegan and Stockton is not exactly London, yet this place is haven for me! Great food, great prices. That man below appears an idiot: pack of dogs?! There are two lovely dogs who have their own safe space, so what is to be nervous about? Now, I am not a regular because I work a driving distance, yet I only found staff bending backwards for me, even when it meant at times preparing vegan food on the go as I had short time! I took there colleague from work, locals who did not know the place and loved it so much they will be back! It annoys me when people tell fibs and those two customers with bad reviews did! When I went with colleagues on a day out we spent over two hours and NOBODY told us to leave! This is a great place with great people. End of! Liliana

I have visited this cafe on many occasions and and never been disappointed with the food nor the standard of customer service. The menu is wide and varied and I’ve always been made to feel welcome, even when it’s a flying visit for a quick coffee. I’ve always been impressed with the service that this cafe provides to the local community in an area where it’s much needed. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food and that they serve. This is not a fast food place that serves low quality cheap food, this place serves real home cooked food at affordable prices. My favourite place to visit on Stockton-On-Tees

I love this café. My friend told me about it over a year ago and she very kindly brought me a vegan parmo to work, even kinder was that the Kitchen Witch opened early just to cook it for me. I've since been in many times and love the food. I can't eat gluten and its so lovely knowing I am not going to be 'glutened' either by accident or ignorance. I've been with people who eat gluten and they've all enjoyed their food too. There is an amazing vegan range which suits me perfectly. They sell an eclectic range of stuff and a fab little selection of gluten free products. You always feel safe and welcome here

I popped in here yesterday for a vegan breakfast and really liked it. Wasn't going to bother with a review but that obnoxious review below has annoyed me. The drinks and food were reasonably priced, the breakfast itself was gorgeous. It struck me that there was probably a lot of regulars that staff were really friendly with, but that to me was a positive as it made the atmosphere more pleasant. I found the information about water interesting and it made sense, I can also say it seemed perfecting clean to me. There were dogs there but I didn't even realise that for the first twenty minutes I was in as they were so quiet and well behaved. I shall definitely be returning and plan on taking my partner and kids.
