A pub like no other . If you like a quirky atmosphere , delicious home made food , served on mismatched plates, lashings of bread and butter , heaps of salad , gallons a of soup , beautiful English flowers and old world charm ... well you couldn't find a better place .
If you like butter pre wrapped and stingy portions of tastless cheese , and chips , please go else where .
I have to say it's one of the finest, old school pubs iv e ever been in . Very friendly staff and wonderful locals and great atmosphere. Please be hungry if your eating there's loads and Its all delicious
Being a foreigner type guy, I have little experience with pubs. But when I was introduced to the Harrow Pub I was enthralled and amazed at what seemed to be the real thing. Not what I am finding to be a common village pub, not a town pub like found in Petersfield, but a place that someone like Mr. J. R. R. Tolkien might have enjoyed walking into with friends to drink smoke his pipe and talk literature or just shoot the breeze with his friends. Real people. Real ales and drink. Real interior that speaks of many years of use and abuse and human occupation. The soup and bread ain't bad at all either. :)
