Visiting our home town of Stalybridge, dad 90 and me his daughter, after many many years, we stumbled across this little cafe. A quaint little cafe with a lovely lady called Irene cooking up a storm. Locals popping in and a friendly how do you do as Irene took their order and busied herself in the kitchen. Homemade cottage pie in the oven (took some of that home for tea) with a piece of lemon drizzle cake, just like gran used to make 🥰
Bacon butty and hot chocolate took me back to my childhood.
Great value for money, good old fashioned wholesome food - pop in you won’t be disappointed 😀
Brilliant food, excellent service friendly staff but I have dropped it a point because of a trick they play on customers as they leave. Coins have been glued to the pavement to fool punters. Embarrassing and humiliating. I may not be back, only for that reason which is a bit of a shame because the food and service were otherwise faultless.
Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere, food excellent and generous portions. An all round good cafe run by very pleasant staff.
