The restaurant has a carvery and a good selection of main dishes. There's also a café section for lighter meals, and outside seating. Lovely setting by the canal, good food, excellent value, friendly service. The car park can get crowded.

Had lunch here following a walk out from Shugborough Estate. Excellent home cooked Steak Pie, in a nice restaurant. Friendly staff too. Recommended.

We didn't visit Lock House as much as pass by it along the Trent & Mersey Canal towpath. What we did see, however, was a very picturesque scene. There is - apparently - a cafe here but it wasn't yet open to the public.
