We loved our experience at Village East. They very kindly managed to fit us in at dinner time without a reservation.
We had the early bird dinner menu (served 6-6:45pm) which was excellent value. I think 3 courses was about £22pp, 2 courses was £19pp. Cocktails were really reasonably priced as well - my piña colada was only £8. My partner had the lamb casserole for the main, and I had the slow cooked pork belly. Both were lovely! For dessert I had the coconut tart which was basically a really tasty, light, coconut cake. All our servers were great. The restaurant was very busy and we could see how hard they were working to ensure everyone was served in good times and tables remained clean.
Overall we had a wonderful dinner here, we didn’t feel rushed at all despite having no reservation, great food, and great service. Highly recommended!
This has to be the best restaurant in Guernsey! We visit Guernsey regularly and always return to Village East as staff are friendly, food quality is excellent and it offers incredible value for money. The set menus at lunch and dinner offer good portion sizes, lots of choice and great value. Food is well presented, flavourful and fresh, and consistently of high quality. Service is prompt and friendly. Can't recover this place enough!
Visited twice within a week whilst on holiday. Couldn’t fault anything. Lovely atmosphere, great food and attentive staff. And if you arrive before 6.45pm (Monday to Thursday) and eat off the Early Evening Menu you get brilliant value for money.
