This place came up on a Google search - so glad we tried it. A passing visit for lunch, great selection on the menu and reasonably priced. Friendly and efficient service. Would recommend......

This is a lovely pub. We visited for lunch today and were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We had two delicious meals: I had the steak and onion pie and my husband had liver and bacon casserole. There was a separate gravy boat, always well received by my other half. Generous portions, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We managed to squeeze in puddings - Strawberry Bombs- meringue and ice cream smothered in cream. It was just as delicious as it sounds. Pub grub at it’s best! We will definitely be returning to The Royal Oak at Candlesby.
