Bad food. Bad service. Bad everything.. I am utterly disgusted with the service i recieved in the Shamraat. After hearing promising things from my colleagues, I took the time and effort to battle through the hour car journey to this destination.
After waiting an hour for not even my starter, the popadoms arrived. If you could call them popadoms that is. These stale, soggy schlongs of disgust disappatated in my mouth like soap. The mango chutney accompanied with these oversized tea dunking biscuits was more like mango stew. Warm, watering and horrid.
At last! My appetizer had arrived and that was the icing on the cake. The chicken i had ordered was just on the plating staring at me- dripping with endless amounts of oil.
I complained immediately to a waiter, however all he did was laugh at me. In the state of confusion i was in, the mockery i was recieving was not helping. I repeated myself however i recieved the same reaction from the waiter. The large plump facing smiling infront of me was really starting to p*** me off. He actually got so close to my face that I could see the sweat dripping off from the bottom of his top lip.
That was the last straw. I left some undeserved money on the table and left the trash on my table.
A lovely traditional curry restaurant just off the main streets of Southport. The food was excellent and the service top notch. The portion sizes were perfect too.
We had the chicken madras, chicken lucknow and chicken makhani. All were incredible. The Nan breads.were cooked to perfection too.
My only complaint is that the beer wasn’t as cold as I usually like but still perfectly drinkable.
We will be back.
Well we have just been to this lovely restaurant I’m very cautious when it comes to curries because I’m use to authentic curries and I’ve got to say it was beautiful it really was and although it was packed out the staff coped very well and was very polite & professional I’d give it a good 9/10
Well done gents.
