Food is okay, you get what you pay for. Many options including gluten free. It's not the food we are fussed by coming here, we go for the atmosphere! Love the jazz band and BBQs at the weekend. And of course sitting in the beautiful park after a lovely dog walk!
Food is OK, service really isn't the best, but so as long as you're not expecting too much, you wont be disappointed. The inside is very small, so making your way round the table to get to the counter really isnt easy! However, in the summer the cafe usually has a live musician playing outside and the atmosphere is amazing! I love coming to this park and the thing that attracts me the most? The water, ducks and the swans! There is now a feeding point by the basketball court side of the pond. It doesn't accept cash, so you will need a bank card/phone. It also doesn't tell you how much a portion is until you tap! Seems backwards to me, but if you're interested, there are 2 sizes and the smaller portion will cost you £1.
I guess they have installed this to stop people feeding bread to the ducks/swans. If they added a couple more, I think it could work!
Very good quality food and good prices. I had the steak pie, really rich and lots of meat, great flavour. My other half had a jacket potato, nice and hot and soft. Dog friendly outside seating too.
