Been here quite a few times. Ate with family today, had Hunter's Chicken with a small Mocha (chose to have coconut milk in mine). Chips were a bit cold when they arrived, but otherwise food was lovely.

Went to Patisserie Valerie at the Southend branch as a sweet ending to our trip for the day. We hadn't been here for quite a number of years, so we thought whilst we were nearby we might as well go there. I ordered the somewhat confusingly named "Pumpkin Spice Latte" which happened to be a cake - not a drink, and my other family members ordered a slice of Carrot Cake, Red Velvet and Madame Valerie. Along with our cakes we ordered two small mochas, one lattee and one mint brownie hot chocolate. The pumpkin spice latte cake slice that I had was very moist, somewhat colourful in design and tasted absolutely amazing. I'd never had a PSL cake before and I have to admit it has definitely become one of my favourites quickly. I had one of the mocha's and whilst it was a little bitter, I found that it did not overpower the drink. My younger sister had the carrot cake and took her time savouring the flavour - she also had a mocha and said it complimented her chosen cake quite nicely. My youngest sibling had the red velvet and found it quite rich, but managed to eat it completely. Having a bit of a sweet tooth, they had the hot chocolate and said it was almost too pretty to drink! Finally, my mum had the Madame Valerie after asking the waitress what the cake consisted of and loved the coffee overtones - she had a latte with hers and said it went well with her cake. Our greeter and waitress for the day was a lovely woman named Ana Maria. She was incredibly friendly, very bubbly (as my sister called her), very attentive and made the experience that much better. As one of her last customers for the day, she seemed very energetic and was more than happy to answer any questions we had whilst we were there. Overall we all had a fantastic time at Patisserie Valerie, and will definitely be back again soon!
