A very great restaurant in my opinion. As a party of one, I'm treated no different than any other table. I had chicken tikka, followed by chicken Muli (not pictured). The staff don't bother you too much like other restaurants do, but are still attentive to guests. There was a perfect amount of time between courses. Not too little that you're still full from your starter, but not so long that you get bored. I just sat for a bit before paging, because I didn't want to leave, and I didn't feel like I was being pushed out, which was nice, as some restaurants just want to get you out as soon as possible. Families seem to like it here, of all ages too. Would recommend, and have recommended.
Viceroy has such a beautiful, intimate atmosphere. The restaurant was just the right level of busy and the ambience with dim, colourful lights, flowers and oil candles was incredible.
The service was absolutely amazing. Dishant (our server, apologies if I've misspelled) made every effort to make my partner and I feel welcome; he even took our coats for us and held the door on entry and exit. He was wonderfully polite, professionally dressed and gentlemanly.
The food was delicious, flavourful and tasted just as good the next day when we ordered too much and took it home with us! Their mango lassi was the best I have had outside of India. It was very affordable, with starters, drinks and main costing under £55 for 2 people - the 10% student discount is a lovely bonus!
Overall I highly recommend this restaurant for a 5 star dining experience all around. We will be coming back again and will bring some friends along to try it out, too!
