Had a pretty nice meal here for a girls birthday night out with a large table of 15 friends. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The cocktails were divine and they were well priced in general for food and drinks.
The place was really quiet for a Saturday night strangely? A few people sat out front with a dog just drinking and a bit loud mouthed may have been putting people off? I would try this place again and would recommend to friends. A much nicer experience than the heaving, loud atmosphere and dreadfully slow service in the pizza express in Oxford street that managed to serve up my brothers vegetarian pizza with ham on!!!
Best Sunday lunch in Southampton - "Scoozi Carvery". The lamb was incredible - covered in Italian herbs and garlic...a real hint of your Italian mum's cooking!
The carvey came with a free glass of prosecco making it a bargain (~£14 pp). Before sure to get there early!
Scoozi is quite a cozy, small italian on Oxford street. For anyone feeling the need for good pasta or pizza on a Friday night, this is just the place. To bring up the vibe, classical italian decoration as well as RnB music are all sorted for by the staff.
Let's talk food. Scoozi offers a, as expected from an italian, a narrow range of cultural food. Antipasti, pasta, pizza, frutti di mare, as well a tasty italian deserts.
Only critical point to mention about service, is the flexibility of staff. My friends and I came in a group of 15 people (pre-booked table), however only two bartenders were alternating service, and there were only 2 su-chefs in the kitchen. Hence even small starters took quite long.
Overall, Scoozi is a restaurant for people who appreciate good, italian food and don't really fuzz about luxuries and posh additives.
