Went here few weeks ago and very clearly remember the taste of the food I ate. The reason - this is perhaps the first "Indian" restaurant in city which serves food that actually tastes like home cooked Indian food. I don't know what they add to their cooking but be it the dal or the dosa, or even the buttermilk, I was reminded of authentic Indian food.
The owner of the place is a simple man walking around the place in his traditional Southern Indian outfit and cheerfully greeting all customers, often taking time out to actually sit and chat with them, lovely man he is.
The restaurant serves only authentic vegetarian food, and therefore this journey is truly divine. I would love to keep going back, the only thing that keeps me away is the prices, which are slightly on the higher side. But how can I expect low prices for the exceptionally authentic food they serve anyway? 😉
Nice place to hv pure veg south-indian cuisine in real cheap price.. Visited today fr lunch (20.09.2015)
There were around 12 items.. N most of them we liked.
Only there was a bit lack of hospitality, we felt.
Having read the reviews we were sceptical to say the least, but this indian was round the corner from our hotel, offered vegan food and claimed 'authentic indian' so we were interested to try.
We weren't disappointed, the staff were friendly and wanted us to sit in and experience the food, but we were set on a take out. All the meals are freshly prepared. The food was delicious, we got a potato korma each and it used coconut milk, it was yummy, we also had the vegetable biriyani, which for us was a bit hot (but we can't handle any hot food!!) - couple this with an onion baji each and it was all round a wonderful meal. It makes it very clear that it is all vegetarian, the staff are on hand to discuss vegan options (but I wish it was a little clearer on the menu) - overall great experience.
