This is a truly astonishing place and the full English breakfast is outstanding. 3 own make chipolata sausages. 3 rashers of own make bacon. 2 eggs from their own hens, 2 slices of their award winning black pudding and a slice of toast and butter. A pot of tea is a reasonable £2.45. My only, very personal gripe, is that the breakfast doesn't come with baked beans, tomato or mushrooms. I get the fact that Uptons wants everything in the breakfast, to be home produced and adding any of the 3 ingredients mentioned above, takes away that uniqueness. But I would happily pay an extra £1.00 for a portion of beans, added to the cost of £11.00, just to top off this great breakfast. This small, family run shop, has a butchers, cafe, deli and is an outstanding asset to the area. Super friendly owner, brilliant staff members who are all superb ambassadors for the company. Look out for their evening specials...like the upcoming Burns Night on the 25th January. Not cheap at £40.00, but you will be guaranteed the finest meal. Highly recommended. Point of interest, if you have a disability blue badge, you can park on the forecourt outside the building, but don't block access. Award winners and you can see why! Absolute pleasure, lovely place with very high quality food, great friendly team and lots to try! Highly recommended! Probably the best bacon and black pudding in the UK. Hope to visit again soon.
