First time ordering. I rang with a queries about an promotional menu item and the guy on the phone was very helpful. Then used the app to order after everyone decided on food. The app was very simple to use. All options and ways to have it (sauces, sides, ect) were clear and easy to decipher.. which isn't always the case when ordering online.
The prices were great for the portion sizes. Massive portions and not massive bill. So that's another plus.the menu was quite extensive compared to some places so there was plenty of choices.
We decided to get a coupke of things that could be shared (and a burger for the spiceaphobe) ordered a peri peri chicken wrap on nana bread.. which was beautiful. A little spicy for my husband be he doesn't like spicy food much anyway. I thought it was the perfect spice level. I'm not a fan of food that's too spicy myself, I like it for flavour so found it perfect for me. The sauces it came with were lovely and complimented the spice peri peri well (also soaked into the nana which was gorgeous and easy my favourite part) the chicken was well cooked as well also flavoured. It wasn't over cooked like is often the case, so the meat was still tender and juicy. In bite sized chunks. I really enjoyed it.
There was also beef burger with cheese.. as far a take away shop burgers go, they're usually disappointing but the hubby says it's one of the best burgers he's had from this kind of shop. Not a lot of cheese but it didn't matter as the burger was very tasty and not over cooked and burned.
We also got the large kebab and chips happy hour deal! Which was a total barging. Tonnes of kebab meat. Did us all with hefty piles and still loads left over.. most importantly though it was good. Very good. It doesn't taste like kebab meat from other places.. it seems like it's been marinated in something. But it wasn't dry and hard or over cooked. Nice thin, long strips. And really tasty. As it came with fries and 2 pitta for £4 it was more than worth it and was thoughly enjoyed by everyone.
We got a garlic bread with tomato which again was delicious. And a few fries which were crisp and nice (coukd have done with a touch of salt before being wrapped up but it's hardly a massive issue)
The food arrived quickly and hot. Which is another bonus. And the delivery driver was nice and friendly.
Considering I only bordered from here after seeing pizza fries (something I've been making at home for years) advertised. (And then didn't order them, go figure) I am really happy I did. Because it was one of the nicest kebab/pizza shop meals I've had in a long time.
Will definitly use them again.
Absolutely best kebabs in Shields. I'm picky with donner meat but whenever we've had a mixed, the donner meat has been beautifully cooked with a good, proper taste. The chicken kebabs are gorgeous and tender and full of flavour, the nans are beautiful. I keep saying I'll try a pizza but I keep going back to the chicken kebab because it's so good!
The value for money is incredible as everything is well priced and the portion sizes are amazing, always enough to have the next day. Garlic bread is always a delight and is even lovely reheated. My boyfriend also thinks Chaska does the best coleslaw he's ever eaten.
Delivery times are always good and food always arrives lovely and hot, shop is clean when going in for collection and the staff are lovely. So friendly and genuinely caring. I also really like the options from online ordering, which is also nice and easy to use.
