A friendly, unpretentious place. Tasty pub grub with good portions at reasonable prices. Homemade steak pie was hearty and goan veg curry was tasty, the setting is clean, a little old fashioned (no Farrow and Ball here!) but recommended without hesitation.

Amazing customer service. We had lunch here today as a large group. The staff were really friendly and had a great sense of humour. The food was lovely and great value.

Had a lovely evening in the Coaching Inn. Staff are so friendly and very helpful. I was down in South Molton viewing property. Staff and customers were able to give me some great advice about the area and potential jobs. Highly recommend this place

Such an amazing place, a proper old pub, the most friendly and caring staff you could ever meet! Proper food, no fancy a la carte, you won’t leave without being full! You will always feel welcome here. Best pub in Devon!

We were staying local to the area and thought wed go into south molten to get a take away. We happened upon this inn. In places its a bit tired ie carpets but overall its a gem. Bar staff VERY friendly and accomadating. Food reasonable price for good pub grub. Menu is small but I had chilli and nachos and my husband had home made steak pie and mash...both delicious. Would go back

Van repairs meant I needed to spend a night at very short notice in South Molton and the Coaching Inn was super. Jill gave her best attention to sorting me out with a spacious, light room and a massive delicious dinner. She really went above and beyond to be as flexible as she could (When will repairs be done? How long is a piece of string? It's all unpredictable...) and offered me an 'office' space in the breakfast room the next day so I could still participate in a zoom call. Unpretentious and welcoming!

We stopped for lunch and had 2 x home made steak and kidney puddings and 1 cottage pie. All 3 meals were fantastic! And the portions were big. The pie was outstanding. We also sampled the Dutch apple pie, which was delicious too. W W
