Great atmosphere, loads of history. If you feel important this will remind you that you are not. This is how pubs should be. Helps if you wear a wig and out of fashion clothes.

Pulled up in my camper and met the landlord outside, he asked if he could help, I asked if he had a field to park in and if the pub was open to which he replied, there's the gate to the field and the pub is always open, help yourselves. An off-grid pub with a wood burner and great ale, what's not to like, it was like going back in time. A pizza van turned up to cook excellent pizza enjoyed by about 70 locals, what an atmosphere. A great community pub run by a very generous landlord, cheers .Stuart&Helen.
