The negative comments are crazy. Especially those aimed towards the staff - who are all really lovely and very well trained. In the plants section there are staff who have worked in plants for several years and with horticulture qualifications. I am here often and I hear many customers moaning about Wyevale buying an independent garden centre and how they don't like it, well Wyevale didn't force the previous owner to sell it! And every plant I have ever bought from here is doing beautifully and was sold by very nice people. I was in there 2 days ago and the plants looked very happy and healthy and the place really looked beautiful. The food in restaurant was great, and staff lovely there too. And the outside terrace is looking beautful with all the plants. I think it is just trendy to jump on board and bad talk the big chains, especially in Sidmouth, but it is not fair to the place or the people who work there. I totally disagree with the negative reviews and encourage people to go and have a look (and a tea for 2 in the restaurant) and see for themselves what a pleasant place this is. I'm tired of all the negativity and moaning from local people about it - it is unjustified.
Compared to my local wyevale in somerset this garden centre is small but don't be deceived, its a little gem, had all that I went there for and such friendly staff too ,will use regularly now I have a caravan in the area.
Extremely helpful assistant. Took time to find out about ordering a pot at another Wyevale garden centre near Newbury, if they deliver locally & how much it costs.
