The entrance to Victoria Tearooms is shared with a bakery so you have to go down the spiral stairs to get to the actual tearooms. Once down there, it opens out into two rooms with a stone floor. The walls are decorated with old photographs and posters. It was a joy to look at all the photographs and such things as the old rules of Saltaire Village! Straightaway, what stood out was the friendliness of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere. We felt really relaxed and liked the fact that we could take our time deciding on our order. So to start with, we were impressed with the range of teas. Something to note is that if you order the Yorkshire Tea, then it comes in a larger pot than the other teas! To accompany the tea, we indulged on the tasty coffee and walnut cake. It was a hard choice to make as the other cakes in the glass cabinet also looked so good. They also had lemon cake, chocolate cake, scones and flapjacks. If you fancy something a lit
I came here on my first day in England to experience a traditional English tea experience. The staff were thrilled to show me everything tea related from how to drink Yorkshire tea properly and which scones and crumpets to try! I really enjoyed my time here and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience great. I didn't realize that we had overstayed beyond their operating hours until we paid up and realized everyone else was gone and most of the shop was locked up.
Excellent. Wonderful scone and jam, and fruit cake and Wensleydale cheese with nice teas. The food others were getting looks good too.
