Very pleased to report this pub is open again for business. Visited today, after a funeral.
I have visited this pub over the last 40 years & can say, with some degree of accuracy, it hasn't changed. Unsure if food us available, but the staff are friendly enough.
The prices don't appear to have gone up much either a very cheap & well kept pint of bitter was only £2.00!
Car park is ample & well marked & theres out door seating.
Went in with my friend a couple of months ago and although on first entering was a bit put off by a few regulars went in a little bar at the side and had a really tasty, obviously spankingly fresh home made lunch. Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere. Wanted to have lunch again not long ago but unfortunately due to my friends car breaking down, by the time we got there they'd finished serving food. Will definitely go again.
Really fancied a hearty meal and a good pint after my trip up North from Brighton.
Phil and Linda certainly stepped up to the plate.
A couple of nice pints of Sam Smiths and a Pie and chips meal of great quality!
What a nice welcome also from The locals and the owners.
Would highly recommend.
Thanks Guys x
