Would highly recommend a visit
Me and my partner visited last night (06/04/24)
We booked a table which I would highly recommend as it was very busy on arrival.
We were seated quickly on arrival.
We were seated in the conservatory area in the corner.
The decor is very nice and modern and the atmosphere was very nice although very loud from other customers.
The ordering process is very simple and quick, the waitress took our drink order then returned to take our food order.
Drinks arrived in around 10 minutes after order.
I'm an avid Guinness drinker, and the pint of guiness from here was probably up there with the best pint I've had.
It was that nice. I ordered a second.
The menu is quite simple and offers a small selection per section.
The food arrived in around 40 minutes from order to eat, although it was very busy with all the tables taken, so it is understandable about the wait.
The food was 10 out of 10 and well worth the wait.
The steaks were both cooked to perfection.
I had Medium Rare, and my partner had Medium Well.
I ended my meal with a sticky toffee pudding that was very tasty and not overly sweet.
Overall it was a really nice experience and very nice food.
The negative parts
Parking -
It's clearly not the venues fault for parking, as there's no where they could offer customers parking.
We parked just down the road on the street without an issue.
The noise -
Again not the venues fault as they can't control how loud people talk.
If you're overly sensitive to noise, I'd say give it a miss on a busy day
If your ever over Sheffield way on then I encourage you to pay a visit to The Dore bar and grill. Recently renovated and under new management this place is 10/10. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating considering we were running late by just over an hour, I did keep them informed mind. They have a nice sized area outside where you can choose to eat but it was a little fresh today so we opted to dine indoors. Inside is decorated lovely with lots of floral displays and stylish wallpaper. The menu has a lot to choose from and for starters the choice was King Prawn cocktail and the Burrata both of which were lovely. As for mains as we were there on a Sunday it would have been rude not to try out their Sunday Roast platter and it didn’t disappoint. On our next visit I would be tempted to try one of their other sharing boards as they sound mouth-wateringly tasty too.
Just what Dore Village needed, a decent place to go and have drinks and food in a modern and welcoming setting. A fantastic outdoor space which in the summer is an absolute sun trap! Watch out as those bottles of AIX go down too well when you’re relaxing in the sun! Food was ok, was the first week when I went so would like to go again soon and try some more of the menu.
