I love this place definitely worth a visit and will be returning. It is so interesting and there is so much to see. So many studios where there is a vast range of articles been made and for sale, from silversmiths, artists, weavers, quilters etc. a great area for the kids to interact and to learn about weaving.
They often have demonstrations of lacemaking and weaving too where you get the chance to have a go yourself.
The place is not cluttered like some you visit - wheelchair/pushchair friendly as there is a lift too.
There is also a book shop that sells a vast range of books at a really reasonable price.
Entry fee is very reasonable considering the Mill is run on charitable donations.
Chatting with some of the other visitors who have been before I gather there is a lot of things planned for the future and they told me that over the last couple of months things have improved so much they are excited to see the Mill developing into a busy tourist attraction, personally I can't wait to visit again.
What an amazing place. I've visited arts centres before but I was knocked out by the range and quality of crafts on display. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the cafe was pretty good too.
Highly recommended as a place to visit.
A gem hidden in beautiful countryside. Traditional crafts being woked and exhibited.
We went to see the Alison Scott exhibition.
A fine contemporary artist. Well worth a visit.
