Delicious food, with a fantastic service. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The food was superb. We visited during the 30 degree heatwave. The building has no air con, so it was incredible warm inside but there is an outdoor area which is charming for cooling down and eating outside. Plenty of parking. Would absolutely visit again and recommend!

Very good value for money, excellent raw materials with dishes that have care and thought put into them. Friendly and attentive staff that know the menu and the wines very well. We will definitely return. Highly recommended and well worth the drive out from Takeley.

Cosy pub restaurant on the edge of Sawbridgeworth. We visited for my birthday and there was a hand signed birthday card on the table when we arrived which was a nice, and unique touch. We had three courses, all of which were delicious and very generous portion size. Our server was very friendly. Toilets were also clean. I would recommend visiting (and booking in advance) and am looking forward to visiting again in future.
