Favourite cafe in Saltburn by far. Lovely small and simple menu, not too fussy which is so nice these days. Hot chocolate is the nicest in the world. The quiche is amazing. The staff are top notch. The atmosphere is amazing in the upstairs seating area, I especially love the window seats. I come every week, I order the quiche without the salad and they always discount it so I'm not charged for the salad. Brilliant
Food was lovely. Staff very friendly. My sister and I went there for lunch. We both had a meal that cost £9.99, coffee each and bought some cheese to take away. It wasn't till we got back to our Airbnb that I realised I had been charged £46. I had the bill but it wasn't itemised. The young lady at the till was a bit flustered so I can only surmised that we either got someone else's bill or were charged twice for something.
Pleasant service, great cakes, though there was only one gluten free cake option, and delightful drinks. There are gluten free soups available as well.
The cafe is much bigger than it looks with outside seating and extra seating downstairs in an intimate little seating room suitable for both drinking and eating.
I had a gluten free orange cake which was pleasant and garnished with fruit, but could've had a bit more love done to it considering the other (gluten) cakes looked absolutely amazing. My partner got the lemon meringue which was so pretty and tasty, but they also had cherry Bakewells, almond cookies, soups, panini's, and more. For a tea room, its really good.
I had a latte and my partner had a mocha, both very professionally done and presentable, and service was speedy and considerate.
I can't wait to go back and try more.
