It is my favourite of all time! It is truly unique. From its contemporary art exhibitions to its cozy tea room, the gallery has something for everyone. The tea room is beautifully decorated, with vintage furniture and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The gallery showcases a range of contemporary art and design, with a particular focus on emerging artists and designers from the North West of England. It is always great to find a place that resonates with you and that you can visit time and time again.
Small cafe, staff were pretty helpful and the cakes looked and tasted good. It is small and has a full glass front, so may get hot on a sunny day. There are some outside tables but it is a busy road. Would say cakes are above average quality.
We were lucky enough to have afternoon tea here on August Bank Holiday Monday, and what a treat!
The selection was fantastic and it all tasted amazing! My partner is vegetarian and there was a great selection for him as well as gluten free. This has to be the best afternoon tea in Manchester! I have tried Harvey Nichols, the Hilton and Richmond Tea Rooms but you can't beat the atmosphere and beautiful staff for a wonderful experience.
I will definitely be coming back for a coffee and cake (which are all made on site!) to sit and watch the world go by.
