Absolute hidden gem about 10 mins walk from Deansgate, so pleased we finally visited after numerous recommendations from Italian friends.
The owners are unbelievably passionate about their trade, everything is made with authentic Italian ingredients & they're so enthusiastic about what they do.
The pizzas are just delicious, so fresh & I can't fault them - reminded me of the pizzas we had in Tuscany. Pictured is the 12" Saporita and the 12" Salsiccia e Friarielli.
The gelato is the shining star though, the flavours are like nothing we've ever had before, you can tell they're homemade without artifical flavours. They sell fast, so flavours are always rotating. The sicilian lemon and the pistachio gelato are unreal, and the hazelnut is gorgeous, like the creme inside a kinder bueno. The espresso is amazing, the cheesecake is lovely & the white coffee is delicious.
Can't believe they also sell Fonzies, they're so addictive, like cheesy nik naks!
Pistachio gelato here is absolutely delicious. It’s so good, it sells out throughout the day! I’ve tried the pizza here too, which is also great. After Rudy’s this is the best I’ve tried in city centre.
Best ice creams in Manchester and Salford by a mile. The cone is superb, the dark chocolate decoration is delicate and a lovely touch, but the ice cream.... that gelato OMG. There are no words to describe how good it is. I was jumping of happiness for the whole time while eating this ice cream. I want to go back an try all the flavours. The vegan options were decent (I think 4 options, two fruity sorbets and two creamy ones, Nutella and lotus).
I'm so happy this place exists.
How is it possible that Manchester has a million Neapolitan pizza restaurants but no decent gelato options??
